School Begins!!

I think we all were a little nervous this year for school.  Megan started 2nd grade at Spring Lake Elementary it's a new school for us and we didn't exactly know what to expect.  When she went to Kindergarten and 1st grade she was in the same school and my 2nd mom Carol Abbott was the secretary there so I never really worried about her but now I don't know anyone at the school so of course being the protective mom that I am I was extremely nervous.  Megan was so excited to start, she told me that is would be fine and if I took her to school the first day then she would ride the bus home.  I know I say it every time I post about her but she is growing up on us so fast.  She is in Mrs. Penicks class and so far she is really enjoying her and she said she has already made some really good friends.  So here's to 2nd grade.  So far so good!!!

Lake Powell 2010

Over the 13th-15th of August the Curtis family took the Annual Lake Powell Trip.  This year it was a little different than most.  First Staci and Dallas didn't come because they just had the Cutest little Baby born so they couldn't come and we didn't take out boat we went with Cody in his.  It was so much fun though we all just hung out and had a blast. We did have a few hiccups along the way.  We didn't get on the Lake until around 12:00 which is very late for us and then after about 2 hours of being on the lake Cody's boat decided to stop working something was wrong with the Motor.  Then the next day the Battery in Keiths boat stopped working and was leaking Battery Acid thank goodness these boys came very well prepared Keith had an extra Battery so we weren't stranded.  With having only one boat working and 10 people at the lake it was an Adventure to say the least.  We all would get in Keith and Guylas boat and go play it was so fun being that close with everyone and just playing around.  We swam, skied, Knee boarded and Tubed.  Thank you Keith and Guyla so much for the fun trip we had a blast.

Addi was trying to swim between Cory and Papa Curtis.  Is was so cute.  We even got Addi to ride the tube with Cory and I she loved it.  We didn't get a very close up picture so you can't see her. 

It's Pocky Daddy!

Addi the other day was rubbing Cory's face and said "Daddy Poky!" it was so funny so Cory went in and Shaved and then Addi saw him and said "Daddy no Poky?" it is so funny to hear little kids talk and the things they say.  Now everyday when she sees Cory this is what she says to him.  Some things that kids say you just want to remember for ever.  And this is one of those things! We love you Addi, you make us smile everyday!!

The 24th of July!!

We didn't do a lot for the 24th this year.  But it was fun just to hang out as a family.  We don't get a lot of family time since Cory works a ton so when we do get it we Cherish it!  We went to the parade in Spanish Fork it was the longest parade I think I have every been to there were 110 floats and it was about 2 hours but the girls sat and loved the hole thing.

Everyone that was throwing candy kept missing us.  So we had Addi stand there and hold out her hands and say PEEES! it was so cute after that we got a lot of Candy. 

Later that night we did some fireworks it was a lot of fun for the kids and of course for Cory!

Addi was so funny she didn't want to be by the fireworks when the went off.  She only wanted to get them and give them to Cory and the Girls one at a time. Megan was trying so hard to hold Addi so she would watch but she came running and crying the whole way.

I thought it would be fun to put pictures of our house on here so when we look back we can remember what it was like in Spring Lake.  So some Pictures of the house.  It isn't much but it is good for us right now.

We saw these deer for a couple of nights when we first moved in, but I think we scared them off.  But we do see turkeys and peacocks everyday in the yard.

We really do like it up here.  It is nice and quiet and very peaceful like the mountains.

We MOVED!!! agian!

Yes we finally did it. We moved to Payson, Cory has been working and living in Payson since November 2009 while the girls and I lived in St. George. We moved on Mothers day, you would think that would be a horrible day to move on but it was the best Mothers day gift I could have ever gotten. It was a horrible 8 months and now we are all back together as a Family.  It is so great being able to see Cory everyday. I don't think that I really realized how hard it was being away from him until I got him back and realized how much I missed seeing him everyday and even getting up at 6:30 to make him a lunch to go to work it is the greatest I have woken up with a smile on my face since Mothers day.  I will be updating with pictures of the little house the great view and everything else, as soon as I get a new battery and charger for my camera. I miss everyone in St. George so much but I have to say being together as a family is the best thing in the world.  We are now starting our life over together and nothing will ever take this happiness away from me.  I am so thankful for everything in my life and am so greatful we are getting a new and fresh start.    

Addi's 2

I can't believe my baby is 2!!! Yes my baby turned 2 on May 16th it was a really happy and sad day.  I was happy because she is getting so smart and so much fun, but sad because she is getting so big and really isn't my baby anymore but I will always consider her my baby.  We had a fun family party for her on sunday Cory's family and my came over and it was a lot of fun she thought it was great opening presents.  All day she was telling me "Mommy it Addi birfday" it was so cute.
