Kadence's Birthday Party!!!

Kadence had a way fun birthday party this year with friends. We did a cheerleading theamed party and it was a blast.  They did an obstacle coarse that ended at the pinata, then they learned cheers, made ribbons for their hair, opened presents and had cake.  It was a lot of fun!!

Then after that party was over we had all of Cory's family over for a double birthday with Guyla her birthday is the day after Kadences so we had quit the weekend.

SHE's 6!!!

Happy Birthday "BUG"

I can't believe she is 6 today!!!  Kadence is so excited today to turn 6, she told me this morning she has been waiting for forever to turn 6!  She is so much fun and sweet.  She LOVES her dad and that is an understatment.  She started Kindergarten this year and so far is doing very well.  We love you very much Kadence and are excited to get to spend many more Birthdays with you.  I hope you have a great Birthday.

Cheer Clinic and Onion Days!

This year we put the girls in the Payson High Cheer Clinic.  They had so much fun learning cheers and getting to perform.  They performed at half time at the football game and again in the Onions Day parade here in Payson.

Kadence Started KINDERGARTEN!!!

Yes it is true she is growing up on me.  Kadence started Kindergarten on August 31st.  She was so excited to finally get to go to a real school.  She is in Mrs. Davis' Class and loves it already.  She get to ride the bus every morning with Megan and then rides it home by herself around lunch time.  She thinks it is the greatest thing to ride the bus.  It's a 30 min bus ride to school and home so I have to put a snack in her backpack for the ride home because the first day she came home she told me she was dyeing because she was so hungry.  We are so proud of you Kadence and can't wait to keep watching you grow and learn so much.

Addi and the BEE!!!

Addison had her first Bee sting the other day.  She was playing in the Rhino with Cory and he said the bee kept following them around and then stung her right on the cheek.  It was so sad she of course freaked out and then her cheek swelled up.  But thankfully no allergic reaction that was a relief.  After Cory got her to calm down she wanted to go back outside with him and play in the Rhino, and of course there were bees all over outside and she just kept saying "Bee fly away, don't get me"  it was so cute.  

School Begins!!

I think we all were a little nervous this year for school.  Megan started 2nd grade at Spring Lake Elementary it's a new school for us and we didn't exactly know what to expect.  When she went to Kindergarten and 1st grade she was in the same school and my 2nd mom Carol Abbott was the secretary there so I never really worried about her but now I don't know anyone at the school so of course being the protective mom that I am I was extremely nervous.  Megan was so excited to start, she told me that is would be fine and if I took her to school the first day then she would ride the bus home.  I know I say it every time I post about her but she is growing up on us so fast.  She is in Mrs. Penicks class and so far she is really enjoying her and she said she has already made some really good friends.  So here's to 2nd grade.  So far so good!!!

Lake Powell 2010

Over the 13th-15th of August the Curtis family took the Annual Lake Powell Trip.  This year it was a little different than most.  First Staci and Dallas didn't come because they just had the Cutest little Baby born so they couldn't come and we didn't take out boat we went with Cody in his.  It was so much fun though we all just hung out and had a blast. We did have a few hiccups along the way.  We didn't get on the Lake until around 12:00 which is very late for us and then after about 2 hours of being on the lake Cody's boat decided to stop working something was wrong with the Motor.  Then the next day the Battery in Keiths boat stopped working and was leaking Battery Acid thank goodness these boys came very well prepared Keith had an extra Battery so we weren't stranded.  With having only one boat working and 10 people at the lake it was an Adventure to say the least.  We all would get in Keith and Guylas boat and go play it was so fun being that close with everyone and just playing around.  We swam, skied, Knee boarded and Tubed.  Thank you Keith and Guyla so much for the fun trip we had a blast.

Addi was trying to swim between Cory and Papa Curtis.  Is was so cute.  We even got Addi to ride the tube with Cory and I she loved it.  We didn't get a very close up picture so you can't see her.
